Dietary Directions, Inc. is proud to offer a Management Team concept to support its employees. The Management Team consists of Mary Vester-Toews, Josephine Ho, Rhonda Gostanian, Lesli Doshier, and Cheryl Engle. This team was chosen by Mary based on their location, account coverage, expertise, and longevity with Dietary Directions, Inc. The Management Team assists in the operations of the business. Each Team Manager is assigned specific dietitians whom they are responsible for training, supporting, and communicating with on a monthly basis. Communication is essential for business and we feel that our Management Team concept helps to foster this important link between employer and employee.

Mary Vester-Toews, RD is President of Dietary Directions, Inc and one of the original founders. She has over 30 years experience in health care facilities. She specializes in renal and geriatric nutrition, and consults for food manufacturers and distributors. Mary remains active in local, state, and national professional organizations including Past-Chair of the Consulting Dietitians of California and current National Board Member of the Consultant Dietitians of Health Care Facilities practice group of the American Dietetic Association. At the state and federal levels, she takes a strong role in nutrition legislation. Mary has been featured in the media for skilled nursing issues and combating nutrition fraud. She is a speaker at health care seminars and an author of manuals and professional publications that are setting trends in dietetics. Mary has received distinguishing honors as Registered Dietitian of the year from HPSI and Distinguished CD-HCF Member of the Year for Area 1 in 2003.

Josephine Ho, MS, RD has worked for DDI since May 1988. Her duties on the management team include scheduling and supervising dietitians for the Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Programs, Adult Day Health Care Centers, Intermediate Care Facilities/Group Homes, and Perinatal Programs. Josephine consults to WIC Nutrition Programs, Adult Day Health Care Centers, ICF/Group Homes, Perinatal Programs, and Assisted Living Facilities.

Rhonda Gostanian, RD has worked for DDI since July 1994. Her duties on the management team include training and supervising dietitians in the South Valley, communicating with customers needing food service assistance, and working on various projects for DDI. She oversees the ICF/DDN menu development and has been a speaker at our dietary supervisor workshops. Rhonda has served on the board of the Consultant Dietitians of California as Treasurer. She currently consults to Skilled Nursing and Intermediate Care Facilities but has consulted to Subacute and Acute Care Hospitals in the past.

Lesli Doshier, RD has worked for DDI since March 2000. Her duties on the management team include developing forms, editing manuals, writing the employee newsletter, designing and maintaining the website, and supervising dietitians in the Fresno and North Valley areas. She has served on the board of the Consultant Dietitians of California as Secretary and has been a speaker at our dietary supervisor workshops. She consults to Acute Care Hospitals, Rehabilitation Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Surgical Centers, a Cardiac Hospital, and provides nutrition counseling to Gastric Bypass patients.

Cheryl Engle, RD has worked for DDI since October 2000. Her duties on the management team include assisting with the implementation, training, and oversight of our HMR (Health Management Resources) weight loss and weight management life programs. She currently consults to Skilled Nursing, Intermediate Care Facilities, Adult Day Health Care, and Bariatric programs. She is certified in Adult Weight Management, a member of the Consulting Dietitians of Health Care Facilities (CDHCF) and Weight Management practice groups of the American Dietetic Association and has served locally in numerous board positions for the Central Valley District, California Dietetic Association, including Treasurer, Secretary, Nominating Committee Chair, and Fundraising Co-Chair.
